NOTE: I know this is long. You do not HAVE to read this.
So, I was thinking. And I've come to realize (actually, known this for a while) something. I have too many characters and not enough time/space/etc. to actually "reveal" them. I'm not getting rid of them or anything. I like them all (mostly) too much to do that. So instead, I'm attempting something else.

I usually prefer to reveal my characters through my writing because for some, that's much easier. I have a hard time saying "this is what s/he is like" because...well...that's too straightforward. But I've also realized that at this rate, you'll never get to know all of them. Not sure how many of you would take interest, but it'll make me feel a little better because, not going to lie, having so many makes some backgrounds underdeveloped compared to others. As I've said many times, I play favorites. So I tend to mess with some more than others.

In order to work more with some (like some who have never really been mentioned either), I've decided that a couple times a week or so (or whenever I feel like it, really), I'll just profile someone. I have them all listed out so I'll just go down the list and explain as much as I possibly can.

I'm starting with Chance, because he was my very first character and also one of the ones "closest to the heart." So, prepare for a long one. Really.

Creation Background: Chance, as I said, was my very first character I ever created. To be honest, he came into existence when I was around age 5 or 6. I had drawn a picture of him...and I would PAY to still have that picture. At the time, he was rather...creative. Like any little kid, I had a rather obscure imagination with no regard for what was actually possible. When I first created him, he had the same color scheme as now, except he had white feathered wings, breathed fire, and there was something about a black harness. I think he wore a harness or something, for no real reason. Like I said. Obscure.
He's obviously undergone a lot of changes since then, which I will get to. I didn't start writing about him until I was in the 5th grade or so. Before then, I didn't really consider him to be a character I had created because at the time, I didn't really get the concept of creating a character...or at least calling it that. But he was something I always kept with me, an idea in the back of my mind that I kept tweaking.
The first thing I ever really wrote about him was called "Blood Trail," which featured a few of my other beginning characters. At the time, I was quite proud of it. Looking at it now, I laugh. It was so influenced by the anime Wolf's Rain, it's not even funny. I haven't really written anything actual since then, minus one called Back Biting, which no one ever got to read. In my opinion, my writing skills took a rocketing acceleration (in a good way!) even while I was in the process of writing it, so by the time I finished it, I was already ashamed of my first half or so. So...I more or less hid it away. I've actually been thinking about re-writing it.
Moving on...

Appearance: You may or may not know, my characters all started canine. Technically, they still are. But if you notice, I rarely (if ever) write about them from the canine perspective anymore. I had never had human "forms" for them until I took Creative Writing my Sophomore year, where I had to write a short story and desperately wanted to use some of my characters, but no matter what I did, canine didn't work and to be honest, I've started to feel foolish for having canine characters. But meh, I'm confessing it, if you didn't know before. But it's not something that I point out all the time, especially not to everyone. But I guess by doing this, I am. Oh well. xD
Anyways, I've come to realize that writing with them in a human variation gives me a LOT more freedom with what I can have them do, experience, etc. They all still have the same personalities, but I have more freedom as the writer. So, that's why I do it.
Canine Appearance: Chance is a wolf, with a dark gray coat and light gray paws. The light gray rounds around the front of the paw and comes up to a point in the back, roughly where a canine's "thumb" pad would be. I honestly don't know what that is. But that little pad at the back of the leg? That. (Since the technical thumb would be the dewclaw...) His eyes are green, despite the fact that wolves don't actually have green eyes. Where that came about was from around 8th grade or so, when I asked for an art commission of him on a website called Furry Paws (a dog showing sim game). The artist asked what color I wanted for his eyes. I had never given it much thought, so I just told her whatever color they wanted. She used green. It just stuck. I really took a liking to it and the green eyes actually came to be a very defining feature of his. Around his neck, he wears a chain necklace with a silver crown. Kingdom Hearts fan, does that sound familiar? I "gave" that to him around the 6th grade, when I was officially obsessed with Kingdom Hearts. Now, when my love for KH is more or less faded (I still like it, but...yeah), I still can't bring myself to take it from him. It's not exactly like Sora's, there's a slight difference, and even though that's one part of him that isn't original, it's been the norm for him so long that I can't imagine him without it. So...he'll probably always keep it. Around each paw (wrist?), he has black leather band...things. They basically look like mini leather belts. Why does he have these? I don't even remember. I just decided to add them and see what it might look like (drew it out) and I came to really like it. On his right shoulder, he has a scar. I've never talked about it much because I've never felt the need to. It just...is. But he got it from the first time Kinko turned on him (which I'll talk about in Kinko's). It's not an intricate design. Just a gash-shaped line, going diagonal along his shoulder.
Human Appearance: Green eyes, still wears necklace, still has bands. I've come to realize that his hair style is almost beyond explaining. The closest I can come is Noctis (Final Fantasy Versus XIII) meets short haired Zack (Final Fantasy VII) and even that isn't right. Too bad I can't draw people. Then I could just show you. Just imagine as you will. -_-; The color is a dark silver color (I refuse to call it gray because then he sounds old) with light silver high lights running all the way through. He wears just a typical white t-shirt with a gray swear jacket over it on occasion (not always). Along with the bands however, he also wears the black fingerless motorcycles gloves. These came in when I did my Claire cosplay a long time ago and I actually really liked the gloves I had, and wanted to give them to someone (character, I mean). xD After some playing around with the idea, I really came to like the idea on Chance. So it stuck. He just wears normal jeans and black boots. Not like...high rising boots, just like, tennis shoe size...but boots. O.o I can't describe this. Hopefully, you get what they are. They do exist, I swear. In his right ear (what's with me and his right side?), he has an earring. It's just a silver...ball, basically. I know there's a word for that but I can't remember what it is. Not stud, but something else. Bulb? I dunno. xD

Age: I've realized that their canine forms have never really had ages. I find their age easier to gauge in the human sense, from where they are in development too. Besides, "dog years" is inaccurate. xD
But he's around 17-18. And that's not because I'm 17 either. Ever since I've given human variations (I think I was 14 at the time?), he's been that age. Yeah, my characters don't have birthdays. They don't age until I'm ready to write about them at an older stage. xD

Background: I won't get TOO much into this because I'll possibly end up confusing myself. And you. It makes sense to me until I try to write it out. Then all hell breaks loose.
Mother: Yin
Father: Aki
Brother: Pix
Sister: Zeena
Let me see if I can keep this brief. Developed strong loathing for mother as he got older. Never had much to do with father, though he does have respect for him. Didn't know him very much but he's heard from others (I'll get to all of this in other profiles). He looked/looks up to Pix, though Pix looks down on him. Pix was...nevermind. I'll wait for his profile. Zeena and Chance were close though the two of them were "split up" when they were young (I won't get into all of it because it won't make a whole lot of sense. I don't talk about it much anyways in what I write) and she now lives with Faith, an aunt. Hence a small cameo every now and then.
They all essentially went their own ways soon after Zeena left, where Chance came across Zeus and...majority of the rest of them. I'll talk about that in Zeus's profile.

Personality: Alright, not trying to cop-out but there's so much to it that I can't spell it all out. For goodness sake, I've "had" him for 12 years or so now. You expect me to spell out 12 years of development? Can't do it. xD You'll have to see him in what I write.

Theme Song: If I gave him a theme song, it'd be really hard. Because he's by far my most developed so I can apply a lot of things to him...but I'd say "Welcome To The Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance does a very good job and I can apply a lot of the song to him in one way or another.

You obviously know I use "Chance" as my online alias. This is why. I know some people think it's weird to use the name of a character you have, but like I said, he's been around for 12 years now, technically. He's seriously a part of me and so much developed has gone into him and all that, and so when using a name online, it's pretty much become instinctive for me to use that name. -shrug-

I know I've missed stuff. But I think a lot of that is stuff I could explain other characters' profiles. Please note that no one other character will be as long as this one. Some may come close, but it won't be as long. I could probably go on for quite a while about Chance and things about him, but I think I've said enough to give you some background knowledge and stuff like that.
